Gym For Beginners

Main Gym

In this gym-based class, Paul Keepax uses his wealth of experience in the fitness industry to help absolute beginners to get started with both weight training and gym cardio machines. Numbers are limited to ensure that participants get as much help as they need - all at no extra cost to our members.

H.I.I.T

Studio

A High-Intensity Interval Training class is a fast-paced workout that alternates short bursts of intense exercise with brief recovery periods to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, and endurance in a time-efficient format. Josh King (Mondays and Fridays), Sophie Spackman (Wednesdays) and Paul Kavanagh (Saturdays) have decades and decades of experience between them and can easily cater for all fitness levels.

Circuits

Studio

A circuits exercise class is a structured workout where participants rotate through a series of exercise stations, performing different strength, cardio, or functional movements to build overall
fitness and endurance. In her years of expertise teaching and managing in the Fitness Industry and in water sports, Julie Poole will make sure every participant is both looked after and challenged in equal measure.

Pilates

Studio

Developed by the eponymous Josef Pilates as a way to rehabilitate wounded soldiers way back in WW1, this class is a low-impact workout focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture, and controlled movements to improve overall body awareness and stability. With over 25 years of experience in Pilates and somatic movement, Victoria Taylor builds on the traditional methodology, specialising in a "ground-up" approach to wellness – integrating the mind-body connection into every sequence.

30 Minute Fitness

Studio

A guided group workout combining a variety of movements and training styles to improve overall fitness, strength, and wellbeing. Sports Science degree educated Josh King uses his vast expertise to get all levels of fitness up working as well as they can, in just half an hour.

Strength and Stretch

Studio

A Strength and Stretch class combines resistance exercises to build muscular strength with guided stretching to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall body balance. A small group Personal Training
expert for many years, Simon Passey will make everyone feel psychologically comfortable whilst physically challenged.

Bootcamp

Studio

A high-energy group workout that combines strength, cardio, and functional training exercises in a challenging, full-body session designed to improve fitness and endurance. Although usually the
preserve of the fitter types, using his decades of experience Paul Kavanagh is still able to easily cater for all fitness levels.

Yoga

Studio

A yoga class combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and mindful movement to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and overall wellbeing. In Katy May Tracy’s classes you can expect 45 minutes of breath to movement flow, including some breathwork and guided relaxation. Everyone is invited to move at their own pace and there are no expectations.

Thursday Fitness

Studio

Caroline Kerslake draws on her dual roles as a Therapeutic Midlife Coach and years and years of fitness industry expertise in this guided group workout where participants of all levels rotate through a series of exercises, performing a variety of strength, cardio, and functional movements to improve overall fitness, endurance, strength, and wellbeing.
